“Iraq and Beyond” A documentary by Dan Hare In 2004, Dan Hare found himself in the crossfire of the debate of America’s involvement in Iraq. Feeling ignorant he searched information, but soon learned that it was simply unavailable from the media and normal sources. He decided to journey behind the headline news to dig for information. He began with an examination of the “Joint Resolution to Authorize the Use of United States Armed Forces Against Iraq” and realized that most Americans had little to no knowledge of it’s 20+ points, Dan set out to uncover the truth. Extensively researching the two controversial resolutions of WMDs and Saddam’s purported connection to Al-Qaeda, he traveled from California to D.C. and then to Iraq and elsewhere, to interview former and current Iraqi Generals who were part of Saddam’s secretive society, along with high level U.S military personnel, scholars, journalists, authors and politicians. He found shocking testimony that illuminates the truth about Saddam, WMDs, and connections to world terrorism. The video also shows the raw truth about American mistakes in Iraq, the corrections which are seldom revealed to the average viewer. Finally, the presentation shows ways for America to re-establish its foreign policy.
